An expedition (before mine) atop Perito Moreno glacier, in El Calafate, Patagonia, Argentina. It plays an important part in the geography and history of Patagonia. As shown on the website 'Phenomenica', it "was named after the explorer Francisco Moreno, a pioneer who studied the region in the 19th century and played a major role in defending the territory of Argentina in the conflict surrounding the international border dispute with Chile". Canon 7D.
A very good photo, well composed and beautiful view as well! Must be amazing in Argentina. And the ice is in such brilliant colours, especially the peeks.
