A Mountain Caracara (Phalcoboenus megalopterus) photographed at a wildlife rescue center in Cuzco, Peru.
This animal was rescued by the sanctuary team and released back into nature. However, it still comes back every day, though it now hunts and eats independently. This time, he returned at around dusk, when I was there.
Its conservation status is least concern.
